We are seeking a Software Engineering Intern to join our Telex Dispatch and RTS Intercoms development team within the Critical Communication Systems group in Lincoln, Nebraska. This internship offers the opportunity to work on meaningful, real-world projects that directly impact the safety, efficiency, and effectiveness of our customers.
As a member of the product development team, you will contribute to a specific project that is critical to the success of our organization. You will collaborate with experienced engineers on the design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of advanced software solutions. We are looking for candidates who are flexible, curious, and enthusiastic problem solvers, with a strong interest in learning and pushing technology forward. Job DescriptionSupport design engineering tasks and projects for the Critical Communication System engineering team, including:
- Software development.
- Maintenance of existing products.
- Execute and update test plans.
- Enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program with an emphasis in Computer Science Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering or related degree with programming experience.
- Working knowledge of one or more of the following programming languages: JavaScript, React, C++, or C#.
- Working knowledge in mobile application development environment such as Objective-C, Swift, or Java is desirable.
- Completion of sophomore year or greater.
- Solid communication and prioritization skills.
- Strong analytical, fact finding and problem solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team oriented environment, as well as independently.
The U.S. based hourly rate for this role is between $25.00-27.00/hour.
Within the range, individual pay is determined based on several factors, including, but not limited to, work experience and job knowledge, complexity of the role, job location, etc.
In addition to base salary, full-time employees are eligible to participate in Keenfinity Group's (US) Health and Welfare Benefit Plans—including medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance—as well as the company’s 401(k) plan, subject to the terms and conditions of the respective plan documents.
