How We Work:

As a Software QA Engineer Intern, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products. You’ll maintain, enhance and design manual and/or automated tests of our VPN.

We are a team that takes care of Norton/Avast/AVG/HMA VPN for Windows, Mac, iOS, Android, tvOS and GoogleTV OS. Our goal is to secure users’ Internet connection against threads and from prying eyes and grant access to geo-restricted content.

This full-time internship runs from 1st July to 30th September and is primarily on-site at our offices in Prague or Brno.

Mission and Goals (About The Role):

Your mission will include:

• Testing new and modified functionalities to ensure they work as expected.

• Preparing test cases that guide QA engineers in validating product functionality.

• Developing automated tests to streamline the testing process.

Objectives (What You Will Do In This Role):

• Verify product behavior through manual and/or automated testing.

• Collaborate with QA and development teams to understand requirements and translate them into effective test strategies.

• Learn and contribute to the automation framework (knowledge of Python is a plus).

• Engage with the VPN product suite to ensure optimal security, performance, and usability.

• Ask the right questions and stay curious – understanding why something works (or doesn’t) is at the heart of this role.

Competencies (What You’ll Need to be Successful in this Role):

• Basic understanding of how VPNs work.

• Familiarity with software testing principles and some hands-on experience.

• Analytical mindset with attention to detail.

• Willingness to learn, experiment, and ask questions.

• (Bonus) Experience with Python or an interest in learning it for automated testing.
