Software Engineer Intern Job Description:
The Intuit-Credit Karma Intern Program is a 7-11 week paid internship located in Charlotte, NC. During your internship, you will be placed into a team where you will work on various projects to help Credit Karma fulfill our mission to make financial progress possible for everyone. Interns will have the opportunity to participate in weekly meetings, team outings, events, and engage in discussions with CK leadership. Join one of our Product, Platform, or Data Engineering teams as an Intuit-Credit Karma Software Engineering Intern and gain invaluable hands-on experience across the entire software development life-cycle. You'll partner with our full-time engineers to tackle complex challenges, building and optimizing features that ensure our product remains intuitive and reliable for millions of users.
Please Note: Our summer 2026 internship program will be hosted in-person in Charlotte, NC.
What you’ll do:
- Drive Impactful Projects: Gain hands-on experience by completing a high-impact engineering project from inception to completion. While here, you’ll have the opportunity to design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain within our infrastructure.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Engage with various teams throughout the Intuit - Credit Karma ecosystem, learning how different functions contribute to our shared mission and build valuable professional relationships that expand your network.
- Innovate and Problem-Solve: Contribute to real-world challenges, developing innovative solutions that directly benefit our users and the company.
- Accelerated Learning: Immerse yourself in a high-performing engineering team, gaining practical experience and accelerating your professional development.
- End-to-End Project Ownership: Take ownership of a significant project, managing it from initial concept through to successful delivery within a 7-11 week timeframe.
- Shape Our Products: Directly contribute to a high-impact engineering team, playing a vital role in the development and enhancement of our products.

- Educational Background: Currently pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in Computer Science or a closely related technical discipline. We require that you have a graduation date at least 4 months after the end of the internship.
- Programming Proficiency: Demonstrated experience with at least one versatile server or client side technologies such as React, Scala, FastAPI, Cloud Microservices, HTML, JavaScript/TypeScript or Python.
- Programming Principles: Familiarity with data science, object-oriented, functional programming concepts.
- Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis during the duration of the internship
- In Office Requirements: 2026 Interns must be able to work onsite for a minimum of 3 days per week from our office in Charlotte, North Carolina.
- Exposure to Artificial Intelligence: AI programs, tools, and concepts
