Position Overview

Vincer is seeking a tenacious and driven graduate student for our software engineering intern role to contribute to the ongoing development of our Vincer software platform. In this role, you'll work alongside an experienced team of engineering leads, technical experts, and advisors. This hands-on internship offers unique opportunities to build production-ready features, learn modern software and data technologies, and directly impact people's lives while developing your professional portfolio. The ideal candidate combines creative problem-solving skills with a strong foundation in full-stack development fundamentals.

Core Responsibilities

  • Architect and implement sophisticated interfaces using modern front-end frameworks (React, TypeScript, etc), focusing on creating responsive and intuitive user experiences that align with our design system.

  • Architect and implement sophisticated back-end solutions using modern tools in AWS (EC2, S3, DynamoDB, Postgres, etc), focusing on efficient and engaging full-stack applications that align with our methodology and approach.

  • Write clean, maintainable code following industry best practices, including comprehensive documentation and adherence to our established coding and product management standards

  • Contribute to our product roadmap by participating in technical discussions and suggesting improvements based on user feedback and technical feasibility.

Key Requirements

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience in full stack development

  • Strong foundation in AWS, GitHub leveraging CI/CD and Database technologies

  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to debug complex issues and optimize application performance

  • Experience with Cloud technologies such as AWS, GPC, or Azure

  • Located in Boston/Cambridge area with the ability to commute to our office 1-2 days per week for team collaboration and product meetings

  • Commitment of 35 hours per week during weekday/daytime business hours

  • Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable using communications and project management tools including Slack, Discord, Notion, JIRA, etc

  • Highly motivated with a learning mindset and the ability to ramp up quickly
