In this role you will get to:
The Developer Platform team is responsible for building, operating, and evolving the engineering platforms, developer workflows, and self-service capabilities that enable teams across Priceline to deliver software with minimal friction and high confidence. We own CI/CD platforms, deployment orchestration, engineering workflows, and internal tooling built on technologies such as GitHub, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Argo Workflows, Codefresh, and Kubernetes. We define and maintain engineering standards, golden paths, reusable workflows, and governance models that product teams adopt to accelerate delivery while maintaining consistency, security, and operational excellence. We also facilitate external integrations with our sister companies, affiliate partners and third-party vendors, leveraging both new and existing infrastructure to enhance Booking Holdings’ product offerings. Developer Platform collaborates with teams around the organization to satisfy system needs in line with the group’s technical vision and strategy.
Key responsibilities:-
Contribute to projects that directly impact the productivity of engineers across Priceline.
Design, build, and maintain internal tools, services, and APIs that power developer workflows, CI/CD, and deployment orchestration.
Implement and support platform services that integrate with GitHub, ArgoCD, Argo Workflows, Codefresh, Kubernetes, and our cloud environment.
Collaborate within a cross-functional agile team that continuously experiments, iterates, and delivers on platform and developer experience objectives.
Write clean, well-tested, maintainable code and participate actively in code reviews and design discussions.
Work with the team to understand our codebase, systems, and developer needs, and effectively evolve our platform applications.
Partner with Application Engineering, SDET, Security and Cloud teams to embed quality, governance, and operational controls into engineering workflows.
Debug and resolve issues developers encounter when using platform services, with a focus on continuously improving developer experience.
Grow as an engineer by learning from senior peers and contributing your own ideas to platform improvements.
Who you are:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or related field.
3+ years of experience in software engineering, building production-grade applications, internal tools, or developer-facing services.
Solid programming experience in JavaScript/TypeScript (Node.js) and modern JavaScript frameworks.
Experience building and consuming web services, REST APIs, webhooks, and event-driven integrations.
Understanding of software design fundamentals - clean code, testing, code reviews, and writing maintainable, scalable software.
Working knowledge of SQL for composing queries and basic analysis.
Working knowledge of microservices, Kubernetes (GKE preferable), and Docker.
Experience developing on the cloud, especially GCP (AWS and/or Azure a plus).
Working knowledge of CI/CD, Git workflows, and modern software delivery practices.
Good communication skills - able to collaborate with peers, ask questions, and clearly articulate ideas and trade-offs.
Eager to learn, take ownership of your work, and grow alongside senior engineers on the team.
Passionate about automating and improving processes.
