We are seeking a Software Engineer with experience in Java or C# and familiarity with FPGA technologies to support advanced engineering efforts operating at the intersection of software and hardware. This role focuses on developing and enhancing complex software capabilities that interact with specialized hardware platforms and large-scale technical systems.
The engineer will work as part of a multidisciplinary team building software that supports hardware and software vulnerability analysis, system and network engineering tools, capability development, and integrated circuit analysis. The position involves close collaboration with hardware engineers, systems engineers, and analysts to develop software solutions that enable analysis, integration, and performance across complex technical environments.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and maintain complex software systems based on documented requirements
- Support the development of software that interfaces with specialized hardware platforms and FPGA-based systems
- Develop software using Java or C# in Linux or similar development environments
- Analyze system requirements and translate them into technical software solutions
- Participate in system design discussions, including hardware and software tradeoffs and integration approaches
- Review and test software components to ensure alignment with system design and mission requirements
- Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and performance issues
- Support the development of systems that process large data sets, analytics workloads, or real-time processing capabilities
- Contribute to technical documentation, testing activities, and lifecycle support of developed capabilities
Requirements:
- US citizenship and an active TS/SCI FSP security clearance required
- Experience developing software using Java or C#
- Experience working in Linux or similar development environments
- Familiarity with or exposure to FPGA technologies or FPGA-based systems
- Understanding of software design principles, development methodologies, and debugging techniques
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary engineering team
Desired Experience:
- Experience supporting hardware and software integration efforts
- Experience with low-level system interactions, embedded systems, or device interfaces
- Experience with data processing, analytics platforms, or distributed systems
- Familiarity with vulnerability analysis, system engineering tools, or integrated circuit analysis environments
- Experience supporting mission-focused or government technical environments

Pay Range: $49,996.80 - $290,004.00
