Senior Software Engineer

ABOUT THE PROJECT / ROLE: 

We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join an engineering-led team building scalable, cloud-native back-end systems that power data-driven products at scale. This role is focused on designing, developing, and operating production-grade services in Azure, with an emphasis on event-driven architectures, automation, and long-term maintainability. Engineering decisions are driven by technical quality and automation rather than process or hierarchy. 

As a senior engineer, you will play a key role in shaping system architecture, setting engineering standards, and ensuring that solutions are robust, scalable, and fit for purpose. This is a hands-on role with real ownership and influence over technical decisions. 

TECH STACK:

Languages & Frameworks

• C#, .NET
• SQL 

Cloud & Data 

• Azure (Event Hubs, Functions, App Containers, Blob Storage, Key Vault)
• Snowflake or Databricks (working knowledge is a plus) 

DevOps & Infrastructure

• Terraform
• Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines
• Monitoring and observability tooling 

WHAT YOU'LL DO: 

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable back-end services using cloud-native and serverless patterns 

• Build and operate message-based systems using Azure Event Hubs to handle high-throughput data flows 

• Develop containerised service and Azure Functions 

• Implement and manage infrastructure as code using Terraform 

• Work with data platforms primarily via SQL, including queries and lightweight database-level abstractions that support application functionality 

• Own services in production, including deployment, monitoring, observability, and operational stability 

• Contribute to architectural discussions and guide technical direction through experience and best practices 

• Identify and address technical debt, performance issues, and reliability risks 

• Act as a trusted technical partner to the Team Lead, providing continuity and support when needed 

• Collaborate closely with other engineers, influencing technical decisions and raising engineering standards 

WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WITH: 

Skills & Experience:

• Several years of experience building and operating production back-end systems 

• Proven experience with C# / .NET in real-world applications 

• Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational or analytical databases 

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud-native architectures 

• Experience designing event-driven or distributed systems 

• Practical use of Terraform or similar infrastructure-as-code tools 

• Comfort working in CI/CD-driven environments 

• Familiarity with Snowflake or modern data platforms is an advantage, not a requirement

• Comfortable mentoring and supporting other engineers through collaboration, code reviews, and shared problem-solving 

• Fluent in English (B2 level or higher)

We will ensure that the exact salary offered to you will be based on your qualifications, competencies, professional experience, and requirements for the corresponding job function (starting from 4080 EUR gross per month).
