About Brynson
Brynson is a fast-growing SaaS company building Brynsights™, the leading business intelligence platform for the multifamily real estate industry. We help property management companies, owners, and operators unlock actionable insights by connecting data across property management systems, CRMs, marketing channels, and more.
We’re a startup with real momentum — and we’re looking for a Full Stack Developer who can grow into a technical lead role, working closely with our CTO to expand the platform, build scalable systems, and help guide product development.
The Role
This role is ideal for someone with 2–5 years of experience who’s looking for more ownership, broader responsibilities, and the chance to work directly with leadership. You’ll partner closely with our CTO while gaining mentorship and exposure to the full lifecycle of building and scaling a SaaS product.
The right candidate is a hands-on builder who can move quickly, stay agile in a startup environment, and contribute to both the technical foundation and the user experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Feature Development: Design, build, and ship features across the stack (Rails backend, React frontend).
- System Design: Collaborate with the CTO on architecture decisions, integrations, and data flow.
- Product Collaboration: Work with product and design teams to turn requirements into user-friendly features.
- AI Integration: Prototype and implement AI/ML features (APIs, embeddings, agent workflows, etc.).
- Quality & Performance: Write clean, testable code; optimize performance; and troubleshoot across the application.
- Documentation & Process: Contribute to technical documentation, coding standards, and best practices.
- Leadership Path: Take on growing responsibility leading projects, mentoring peers, and influencing technology decisions.
Required Qualifications
Technical Core
- 5+ years of professional experience with Ruby on Rails and React
- Experience building and consuming APIs (REST required; GraphQL a plus)
- Strong database knowledge (PostgreSQL preferred)
- Familiarity with background job processing (e.g., Sidekiq) and caching strategies
Problem-Solving
- Proven ability to debug complex issues and ship solutions quickly
- Experience balancing technical tradeoffs in fast-moving environments
Collaboration & Communication
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable working cross-functionally with product, design, and leadership
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with event-driven systems (webhooks, queues, etc.)
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or similar)
- Exposure to data visualization or BI tools
- Demonstrated curiosity or side projects with AI/ML
