Job Description
We are growing and we are looking for a Software engineer to join us!
The job holder will be reporting to the MIS & Tools Supervisor and will be a part of MIS & Tools professional services team!
What does our team do?
At Victus MIS & Tools team, we are working towards turning digital visions into reality. We are specialists who automate IT systems and business processes, design and operate tools for the company and our customers. Management Information Systems, Linux, process automation and Robotic Process Automation (RPA), reporting, and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) are part of our daily operations.
Key accountabilities
- You will be required to make changes to our platforms within our development environment as per the team’s development timeline.
- You will be required to attend specification meetings as required and engage with integration our systems further.
- Write clean, scalable code using PHP programming language and be familiar with MVC design patterns.
- Design, implement and support of processes via RPA / Power automate.
- Support GIS projects and maps used in telecom networks.
- Attention to detail and able to work to deadlines.
- Ability to work on several projects at one time and manage workflow.
- Documenting functional and non-functional technical requirements.
Requirements
We would like you to have a few years of working experience with:
- Programming languages: PHP, PHP 8.0+, Python, JavaScript, Bash
- Be familiar with Middleware (eg. Databases MySQL /Oracle DB, MSSQL, Firebird, MS Access) and their declarative query languages (SQL, Oracle)
- HTML/CSS/jQuery
- Frameworks & CMSs: Strong Laravel Knowledge, VueJS, WordPress
- Deployment technologies: Docker, cloud deployment technologies with containers (Podman / Docker /Podman Compose), Jenkins, Gitea, Kubernetes
- Having experience with Windows & Linux Server environment (CentOS/Fedora/RHEL or other associated sources). Linux administration (RHEL9, CentOS 9)
- RESTful API Development
- Agile (XP) Development / Agile Management System
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in both Greek and English language
Soft Skills:
- Attention to detail and able to work to deadlines
- Ability to work on several projects at one time and manage workflow
- Be a team player, communicate and work well with peers and people outside the team
- Flexibility
- Love solving problems, implementation of products and features, coding and making sensible and practical choices amongst multiple design solutions, in keeping with existing UI/UX
Good to have:
- Familiarity with Telecommunications networks
- Power Automate/RPA
- Knowledge in GIS systems and maps representations, experience in ESRI ArcGis
- Solid problem solving and analytic skills
- Car Driving License
