POSITION OVERVIEW
We are looking for a Software Engineer to join Unchained and contribute to our cutting-edge products and services. As a Software Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on innovative projects that revolutionize the way people manage their finances, invest, and transact in the digital age. You will collaborate with a talented team of engineers, designers, and financial experts to build scalable, secure, and user-friendly software applications that empower our customers to achieve their financial goals.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Design, implement, and deliver new cross-application features, including making major changes to our existing schemas or APIs
- Put to use, or obtain, domain specific knowledge of bitcoin and financial services that help you anticipate architecture and product decisions
- Review pull requests for our proprietary and open source products
- Identify opportunities to improve existing systems and workflows for security, flexibility and usability
WHO YOU ARE
- You have strong Python and JavaScript/TypeScript Skills
- You have experience with UNIX-like servers and the command line
- You have knowledge of and previous experience in AWS environments
- You have experience with backend applications including schema and API design (Flask, PostgreSQL, SQLAlchemy, messaging queues, etc.)
- You have experience with frontend applications and frameworks (React, Electron, HTML/CSS)
- You have a passion for building solid, reliable, and secure applications
- You get excited going deep into a bitcoin-focused project
- You reside in the United States and are authorized to work without sponsorship
Even Better
- You have experience with Kubernetes and Helm charts
- You have experience working with bitcoin at the protocol level (redeem/witness scripts, extended public keys (xpubs), signatures, taproot)
- You have experience working with bitcoin and lightning network nodes
- You have experience with microservices architecture, service authentication, and deployments
