The Role:

We’re seeking a Backend Engineer with experience in Node.js to help shape the functionality of our platform's backend. You’ll work closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to build the systems that power Leonardo’s creative tools, from real-time generation features to enterprise integrations and growth-focused experiments.

This role spans some of our most impactful product areas, including Generation, Enterprise, Growth, and Experience. You’ll have the chance to grow your technical skills, contribute to meaningful work, and learn from experienced teammates who’ll support you as you grow into your next career stage.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Build and ship with care: Write clean, maintainable backend code in Node.js and TypeScript.

• Learn by doing: Shadow senior engineers, contribute to real projects, and grow your confidence through practice and feedback.

• Deliver impact: Own scoped features or tasks that directly improve the user experience and support our product goals.

• Collaborate with purpose: Work alongside engineers, designers, and product leads to understand what matters and help bring it to life.

• Grow your path: We’ll support your journey towards becoming a senior engineer, with opportunities to take on more responsibility as you build confidence.

What We’re Looking For:

• Solid experience with Node.js and TypeScript

• Understanding of modern API design (REST or GraphQL)

• Familiarity with backend frameworks like NestJS (or willingness to learn)

• Experience with databases such as PostgreSQL

• Exposure to cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure)

• A collaborative mindset and a willingness to ask questions, take feedback, and keep growing

• Drive to build things that are both technically sound and genuinely useful to customers
