DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Debug and investigate QA, Performance and Production issues, and apply fixes. Guide team members for technical difficulties and status reporting to product owners and managers. Create Junit, Components and integration test cases to automate the testing of developed code. Analyze user stories by reviewing the existing functionalities in applications and work on implementation. Develop and integrate product user stories functionalities with other teams and take ownership of developed module. Modernize applications to cloud native platform and migrate from on-premises to AWS cloud. Peer code reviews and sonar code issue fixes to ensure CDE quality. Deploy, maintain and support applications in QA, UAT and Production environments.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field of study plus 7 (Seven) years of experience in the job offered or as Senior Software Engineer, Software Developer, Technology Analyst, Systems Engineer, or related occupation.
Skills Required: This position requires experience with the following: Developing Unix shell scripts; Managing and troubleshooting Windows OS; Agile Software Development Life Cycle methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban; Managing Apache Kafka clusters for real-time data streaming; Containerizing applications using Docker and optimizing CI/CD pipelines; Developing applications using Java, J2EE, JSP and Servlets; Using Apache Maven build automation; Continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD), automating build, test, and deployment processes; Developing microservices and enterprise applications using Spring Boot, Spring Core, Spring MVC, Spring JDBC aspect-oriented programming, and transaction management; Designing, developing, and consuming SOAP and RESTful web services, ensuring interoperability and secure communication; Implementing web security best practices, including authentication, authorization, and encryption, to protect applications from common threats including XSS, CSRF, and SQL injection; Developing applications using HTML, CSS, responsive design and cross-browser compatibility; Developing object-oriented applications using Java 6/7/8/9, including multi-threading, exception handling, collection framework, Lambda expressions, streams, and Java Time API; Developing applications using JavaScript, Angular and React; Writing complex PL/SQL code for Oracle databases, including stored procedures, functions, and triggers; Deploying and managing Java applications on Wildfly 10.x and Apache Tomcat; Configuring and administering WebSphere Application Server (WAS) 8.5; Orchestrating containerized applications using Kubernetes, managing clusters, and automating deployment, scaling, and operations; Developing applications using AWS Cloud Services, including EC2, S3, RDS, and Lambda; Using Splunk for log management and monitoring; Using GIT for version control and managing code repositories; Writing unit tests using JUnit, ensuring code quality and reliability through automated testing; Managing PostgreSQL databases; Using Apache JMeter for performance testing of web applications; Administering Oracle 10g/11g databases, including backup and recovery, performance tuning, and data security management.
