Job Description:

Parsons is looking for a Software Engineer at the Pentagon’s National Military Command Center (NMCC), supporting the Joint Staff and the Daily Updates Team. This critical role focuses on the design, development, and maintenance of software applications and data management systems that ensure seamless communication and operational efficiency within the NMCC. You will be responsible for developing robust software solutions, managing data integrity, and integrating systems to support the vital operations of the NMCC.

This position is essential in ensuring the continuous operational readiness and efficiency of the National Military Command Center. Candidates must demonstrate a strong technical background, coupled with the ability to operate effectively within a high-security environment.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Design, develop, and maintain software applications and tools to support the NMCC’s operational requirements.
• Utilize programming languages such as R, C++, SQL, and Python to create scalable and secure software solutions.
• Develop and implement algorithms for data analysis, ensuring the generation of actionable insights.
• Collaborate with data engineers and other team members to ensure data integrity and seamless integration with existing platforms, including Advana and Palantir.
• Maintain detailed documentation of software design, development processes, and updates to ensure continuity and knowledge transfer.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance required prior to hire.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related discipline.
• 7-10 years of experience in software development, data management, and application integration, preferably within a military or government environment.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as R, C++, SQL, and Python.
• Experience with data platforms like Advana or Palantir is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to develop innovative software solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of work.

Salary Range: 

$117,000.00 - $210,600.00
