Software Engineer

As part of the AI & Data Engineering group, our team builds internal and customer-facing AI focused web applications for monitoring, onboarding, workflow management, and reporting across LSEG's real-time data and delivery estate. We work closely with business interested parties and customers to deliver reliable, data-driven solutions that simplify operations and improve user experience.

We are looking for a Software Engineer (Grade 10) to join our engineering team and help build modern, scalable web applications. You will work closely with Product Owners, Agile Development engineers, QA, and business interested parties to deliver high-quality user experience and business solutions.

This role is ideal for a hands-on UI engineer who enjoys solving business problems, building intuitive user interfaces, and working in a collaborative Agile environment.

·    Design, develop, and maintain web applications and micro frontends.

·    Collaborate with business interested parties and engineering teams to translate requirements into intuitive, scalable, and high-quality solutions.

·    Build AI enabled data-driven applications, dashboards, reports, and workflows by integrating with REST APIs and backend services.

·    Apply engineering standard processes across security, accessibility, performance, testing, code reviews, and maintainability.

·    Leverage AI-assisted development tools responsibly to improve productivity, quality, and delivery outcomes.

·    4+ years of professional software development experience with strong expertise in Angular, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and RxJS.

·    Experience building enterprise web applications, dashboards, reporting solutions, and data-rich user interfaces.

·    Strong understanding of REST API integration, responsive design, accessibility, application performance, and secure coding practices.

·    Familiarity with micro frontend architectures, reusable component libraries, and modern frontend development standard processes.

·    Experience with unit and component testing, code reviews, Git, and code quality tools such as SonarQube or equivalent.

·    Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, GitLab or similar tooling, along with exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS environments.

·    Strong problem-solving, communication, and interested party engagement skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into practical technical solutions.

·    Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development, prompt and context engineering, LLM APIs, AI agents, MCP, and RAG-based solutions, with a responsible approach to correctness, security, privacy, and maintainability.

·    Delivers high-quality features and enhancements from requirements through deployment and support.

·    Collaborate effectively with collaborators to understand problems and deliver practical solutions.

·    Contributes to a positive engineering culture through knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

·    Uses AI tools effectively and responsibly to improve development productivity and quality.

·    Help maintain a reliable, scalable, and well-documented frontend platform.
