About Us

Ennoble Care is a mobile primary care, palliative care, and hospice service provider with patients in New York, New Jersey, Maryland, DC, Virginia, Oklahoma, Kansas, Pennsylvania, Texas, Florida, and Georgia. Ennoble Care’s clinicians go to the home of the patient, providing continuum of care for those with chronic conditions and limited mobility. Ennoble Care offers a variety of programs including, remote patient monitoring, behavioral health management, and chronic care management, to ensure that our patients receive the highest quality of care by a team they know and trust. We seek individuals who are driven to make a difference and embody our motto, “To Care is an Honor.” Join Ennoble Care today!

About the Role:

We build and run the software that our clinicians, coordinators, and back-office teams use every day in a rapidly growing organization that is dominating its marketplace. The system is primarily a .NET web platform with a SQL Server back-end and Kendo front-end, along with a legacy WPF client we're migrating away from.

We're looking for an engineer who has internalized AI-assisted development (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, or equivalent) and uses it to ship great software at pace. More than “I've tried Copilot", we’re looking for someone who can execute against multiple DevOps tickets at once, guide the AI coder towards the best design, and spot bad output before it becomes a bug or performance-slayer in production.

Equally important is an ability to work with a business owner who may only half-know what they want. You’ll need to come to understand our business quickly, be able to ask the right questions, and help improve the initial DevOps ticket into something that is ready to feed to the AI to code. You excel when you can deliver the thing that the business owner actually needed, not just a rote implementation of the first idea they had.

What you'll do

  • Work directly with business owners and clinical operations leads to understand a problem, push back where their original DevOps ticket is fuzzy or self-contradictory, and help improve the ticket that makes the work buildable.
  • Build features across the stack: C# / .NET, SQL Server (stored procs, schema changes, query tuning), Kendo/Telerik UI, JavaScript.
  • Use AI coding tools as your primary leverage — running several small tasks in parallel, or a large feature with satellite work cooking alongside it.
  • Review AI output with real skepticism: catch the invented column name, the reinvented helper, the plausible-looking method that quietly breaks an invariant three processes away.
  • Test relentlessly. Unit tests, integration tests, and hands-on-the-app testing of your own work and your teammates' work before it reaches users.
  • Occasional WPF work — bug fixes in the legacy client and migrating functionality out of it into the web platform.
  • Own your changes through deployment and into production support.

What we're looking for

Required

  • 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • C# / .NET and SQL Server experience — enough that you can read a query plan, design a schema, and tell when generated SQL is wrong rather than merely ugly.
  • Demonstrated fluency with an agentic AI coding tool (Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, or similar) in real production work. Be ready to talk specifics: how you scope prompts, how you verify output, where these tools fail you.
  • The engineering judgment to know when the AI is confidently wrong. This is the single most important thing on this list.
  • Excellent requirements skills — comfortable in the room with non-technical stakeholders, good at surfacing the unstated assumption before it becomes rework.
  • A testing instinct that borders on adversarial. You look for the edge case, the null, the concurrent user, the bad data already sitting in the table.
  • Comfort in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and short feedback loops.

Nice to have

  • Kendo / Telerik UI for ASP.NET.
  • WPF or another desktop XAML stack.
  • Healthcare, EMR/EHR, or other regulated-domain experience.
  • Azure (Functions, Service Bus / RabbitMQ-style messaging, App Service).
  • Experience working with LLM-backed features in a product, not just as a dev tool.

How we work — read this part carefully

We move fast and we finish things. That means:

  • Rework is part of the job. Sometimes the business owner sees it and realizes it's not right. We redo it without drama.
  • There are occasional long days and occasional weekends. Not as a lifestyle, but they happen — around releases, production issues, and hard deadlines. If that's a dealbreaker, we'd rather know now, and there's no hard feelings.
  • You'll test other people's code. Quality is a team output, not an individual one.
  • You'll be trusted with a lot. Small team, direct access to decisionmakers, very little ceremony between you and shipping.
  • The people who thrive here love building software — the craft of it, not just the paycheck — and would rather own an outcome than a ticket queue.
