About Phinity
Phinity is building prompt-to-silicon. We are creating the closed-loop system that lets AI agents design, verify, optimize, and tape out chips end-to-end. By 2028, any company will be able to specify a set of requirements for a chip and Phinity will deliver them a GDS file in weeks, not years.
We are working with leading frontier model labs and growing exponentially. Our team brings together deep AI and silicon expertise: training chip-design models at NVIDIA, doing formal reasoning post-training at scale, exiting a synthetic data company, leading the LPU team at Groq, and building chips at AMD, Intel, and MediaTek for over 10+ years. We are building an exceptional, highly efficient team to dismantle the current chip industry.
The Role
We are hiring a software engineer to build the internal platform our engineers rely on every day, heavily using AI to speed up development. You'll work closely with our hardware engineers to turn their workflows into fast, reliable software. Some example responsibilities include:
Build and maintain the internal platform our hardware engineers use to create, run, and validate the structured tasks and datasets at the core of our work
Engineer robust data pipelines and the backend services and tooling around them
Work across the stack as needed, from containerized workflows and infrastructure down to the interfaces engineers interact with
Requirements
2+ years writing production software, with a strong software engineering foundation
Comfort working across the stack and a bias toward shipping reliable, maintainable systems
Experience using AI to write software
Strong communication skills and willingness to try new methods in ambiguous and fast-moving environments
Experience with infrastructure (Python, containers, orchestration) and/or platform engineering is a strong plus.

What We Do
Phinity Labs is building foundational training infrastructure for autonomous chip design. Its AI agents are intended to design, verify, and tape out custom chips end-to-end, while the company develops environments and data to teach large language models hardware workflows. The mission is to overcome the scarcity of open chip-design training data and enable more efficient, domain-specialized accelerators and broader hardware automation.
