As a Wireless Protocol Stack Engineer, you will contribute to the development of wireless communication protocols for TI's embedded connectivity devices. You will implement and test protocols, focusing on performance, power efficiency, and interoperability. This role involves writing quality code for protocol stacks that serve as the foundation for TI's wireless solutions. This position is part of a new team being established at TI India, offering excellent learning opportunities and technical growth.
QualificationsBasic qualifications:
- 2-5 years of experience in wireless protocol development for embedded systems
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Electronics/Electrical/Computer Science
Skills needed:
- Knowledge of wireless protocol stack development (such as: Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Thread, Zigbee, Wi-SUN, Matter, or proprietary RF)
- Proficiency in Embedded C/C++ programming
- Understanding of basic RF concepts and wireless communication principles
- Familiarity with wireless standards (such as: IEEE 802.11, IEEE 802.15.4)
- Experience with real-time operating systems
- Basic knowledge of network packet analysis and protocol debugging tools
- Understanding of fundamental security concepts for wireless communications
- Familiarity with power management in embedded systems
- Experience with embedded debugging tools
- Knowledge of software development best practices
- Experience with unit testing for embedded systems
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Primary responsibilities:
- Implement and maintain components of wireless protocol stacks for TI's connectivity platforms
- Write clean, well-documented code following established guidelines
- Assist in ensuring compliance with relevant wireless standards
- Contribute to optimization efforts for performance, power consumption, and memory footprint
- Develop test cases for protocol features
- Debug and resolve protocol issues with guidance from senior team members
