As a Software Engineer, Test at Sisense, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our platform. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to build robust automated tests, influence testing strategy, and help us deliver best-in-class analytics solutions to our global customers.
WHY YOU SHOULD JOIN OUR R&D QUALITY TEAM:This is a hands-on and strategic role focused on enhancing the quality of our complex, distributed systems. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining end-to-end automated test suites using TypeScript and Playwright, ensuring CI/CD pipelines (GitLab/Jenkins) run smoothly and effectively. You’ll collaborate with developers, DevOps, and Product teams across different regions to improve our release confidence and accelerate feature delivery. Your work will directly influence our shift-left testing approach and DevOps maturity.
HOW YOU’LL RAMP:By Day 30…
- You will learn about the Sisense platform, test architecture, and deployment workflows
- You will gain a strong understanding of the current test infrastructure and start contributing to automated tests
By Day 60…
- You will work on improving existing Playwright test coverage and integrating tests
- You will help analyze failed test cases, identify root causes, and propose automation enhancements
- You will start to contribute to testing infrastructure
By Day 90…
- You will have created or optimized Playwright test suites with robust reporting and retry logic
- You will create test strategies for new features and work closely with scrum teams to ensure adequate coverage
- You will work with entire team to align on test standards and scalable automation practices
- 6+ years of experience in software testing or test automation
- Proficient in TypeScript and hands-on experience with Playwright
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, particularly in GitLab and Jenkins
- Skilled in analyzing complex issues and debugging failures in test and production environments
- Experience working with Docker and Kubernetes
- Solid understanding of modern test strategies and shift-left quality practices
- Bonus: Experience with Java, Serenity, Pytest, Python, k6.
