Job Description:
Parsons is seeking a Software Engineer / Research Scientist to join our team. In this role, you will design and implement Python-based applications, develop and maintain machine learning pipelines, and collaborate with a cross-functional team in a Linux development environment. You will be responsible for managing codebases through version control, building CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring software quality through integration and testing practices. This position offers the opportunity to work with modern ML frameworks and contribute to innovative, real-world technology deployments.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Python development experience with focus on object-oriented programming practices.
Extensive experience with scripting and programming, such as bash and python web frameworks, and developmental environment libraries, such as pip or anaconda.
Familiarity with Machine Learning architectures (Pytorch, ONNX, Tensorflow)
Experience with Linux development environments, as well as maintaining code base documentation and git repositories.
Version/source control software (git/github/bitbucket) as well as implementing CI/CD pipelines, integration testing, and quality testing is critical.
Team development experience is a plus.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
Experience with React full stack development.
Experience with C++ development.
Familiarity with machine learning model deployment on edge devices (Jetson Nano/Orin, Raspberry Pi, etc.).
Familiarity working with Docker and containerized environments.
