We are looking for an experienced backend engineer to join our team of talented engineers that share a common interest in distributed backend systems, scalability, availability, and continuous deployment. You will build the platform that powers the retail experience for some of the largest brands in the world. You will use the latest tools and technologies to solve challenging and interesting problems to redefine the way people shop and how online retailers develop relationships with their customers. Above all, your work will positively impact the lives of millions of users.
Requirements:
- 4+ years Python developer with a focus on web apps
- Django, Celery preferred but not required
- Bachelors, or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field preferred
- Experience in Linux/UNIX environment, feeling comfortable using the console for your daily basis tasks.
- Passionate to work with new technologies, but comfortable to deal with legacy systems
- Comfortable and meticulous when digging for deeply hidden bugs.
- Passionate about leveraging the best of breed technology and eager to learn new skills
- Pluses:
- Familiar with Google Cloud and k8s
- Familiar using and creating docker containers
- Start-up and SaaS experience strongly preferred
