What you’ll do
Drive product development: As a member of a small, high-leverage engineering team, you'll have meaningful ownership over the product development process, significantly impacting our product and business growth.
Build dynamic, intelligent interfaces: Use leading AI technology and work with experienced product designers to build best-in-class functionality to transform our customers' workflows.
Use the best tooling: Use tools like Meticulous, Amp, Honeycomb, Temporal, and PostHog to build and support industry-leading software. If you're not familiar with these tools, we'll help you learn them!
Collaborate in-person with leadership: Work closely with our Head of Product and Head of Engineering in our New York office to elevate our product from early traction to industry leadership.
Innovate quickly: Iterate rapidly with the Luminary team to build a generational business that democratizes wealth tech. We ship to production 20+ times per day.
Who you are
You have 2+ years of software engineering experience at companies with strong engineering practices.
Product-focused: You are a frontend-leaning fullstack engineer with a product mindset. You thrive on understanding what our customers are trying to accomplish and in building functionality to make their lives better.
Growth mindset: You want to be a great engineer! You enjoy building software and care about the craft of doing so.
Autonomous & responsible: You have a strong work ethic and thrive in environments of autonomy and ownership, understanding the broader impact of your decisions on the product architecture. You identify and advocate for systemic improvements as you see them.
Technically skilled: While we're not dogmatic about you already having experience with specific technologies, familiarity with the following is beneficial. If you’re not familiar with some of these, you are curious and excited to learn them!
Cloud-based web applications and complex data models
Frontend: React, Typescript, GraphQL (Apollo), Playwright
Backend: Golang, Postgres, GraphQL
Excellent communicator: You excel in communicating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Especially in an environment with a number of remote co-workers, you proactively push information to the rest of the team.

Compensation
Base salary range of $140k-$180k, plus meaningful equity
Actual compensation package is dependent upon many factors, such as experience and skillset

We are building the first product for wealth managers to automate the complex, and inefficient estate planning process Luminary is a data and collaboration platform purpose built for trust & estate services. Our software digitizes information otherwise trapped in original documents, and connects it with applications for visualization, what-if analysis, tax value creation tracking, and custom reporting. We also enable third-parties to work seamlessly in service of a shared client.
