About the Role

We’re looking for a Senior/Staff Product Engineer to lead the engineering and evolution of user-facing systems at Pika. In this high-impact position, you’ll own key product architecture decisions and ship features that serve millions of creative users—from intuitive UI and collaboration tools to real-time interactions and generative AI experiences.

You’ll collaborate directly with product, design, and engineering to deliver features that are robust, scalable, and delightful to use. You’ll shape both the immediate user experience and the long-term product vision, taking ideas from concept to launch and iteration.

What You’ll Do

• Architect and build powerful, user-facing features for Pika’s web and multi-platform products

• Develop real-time collaboration capabilities, messaging, and live multi-user interactions

• Drive product features from ideation through development, launch, and continuous improvement

• Integrate advanced generative AI workflows (LLMs, models, agentic tools) into creative tooling

• Collaborate deeply with product and design to deliver impactful, accessible workflows

• Advocate for high technical standards through code reviews, mentorship, and proposals

• Own cross-service metrics, tracing, and observability for the features you ship

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, with 2+ in senior, product-focused roles

• Strong experience building high-scale web or mobile products (React, TypeScript, Node.js, Go, or similar)

• Proven ability to deliver robust, user-centric features that delight creative users

• Deep systems knowledge: distributed systems, scalable APIs, cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP)

• Comfort working across the stack and into ML infrastructure (Python, GPU-backed workflows) as needed

• Strong product intuition and first-principles mindset—care about why something gets built, not just how

• Clear written and verbal communicator; comfortable working closely across disciplines

• A well-developed taste for what makes a great creative experience

Nice to Have

• Experience with generative AI, agentic workflows, or ML inference (Python/PyTorch)

• Creative background (design, art, architecture, or similar)

• Experience building real-time collaboration or media-rich applications

• Startup experience or thriving in fast-paced ambiguity
