DFINITY is seeking a Software Engineer (Frontend Focused) to join our Product Enablement team. We build open-source tools and reusable canisters that simplify workflows and streamline processes for teams building on the Internet Computer blockchain.
The Product Enablement team is a cross-functional group of engineers on a mission to empower developers by abstracting away operational complexity so they can focus on their business requirements and product features.

What you’ll work on:
You’ll help design and implement backend systems that power our internal platform tools and developer-facing products. Our key projects include:
- Orbit Platform – a non-custodial digital asset management platform that helps teams securely manage their digital assets
- CaLM (Canister Lifecycle Manager) – a build, deploy, and monitoring service for managing the entire lifecycle of IC canisters
- Canfund – a library that automates canister cycle management
You’ll primarily work in TypeScript and Vue, but we expect a willingness to collaborate on Rust-based backends when needed.
Responsibilities:
- Build elegant, robust UIs that enhance developer and user experience
- Own features e2e, from ideation until release, including collaboration with designers
- Contribute to UI architecture and component libraries used across projects
- Collaborate with backend engineers to define seamless APIs and system interactions
- Occasionally contribute to backend code (Rust) to support full product delivery
You might be a great fit if you:
- Have a solid computer science background (degree or equivalent experience)
- Have extensive experience in frontend or full stack engineering roles
- Have strong proficiency with modern frontend development using JavaScript/TypeScript and frameworks like Vue or React
- Take ownership of your work and are comfortable working independently
- Care deeply about user experience and maintainable code
- Are curious and comfortable stepping into backend development when needed
- Are excited by the potential of the Internet Computer and Web3
Bonus Points:
- Experience working with the Internet Computer or other blockchains
- Familiarity with service-oriented architecture (SOA)
- Contributions to open-source projects
- Previous experience working on frontend codebases
