  • Core Knowledge & Skills: Works across multiple languages and platforms, designs and implements architectural decisions, applies design patterns, cloud-native services, IAAS/PAAS/SAAS basics, and secure coding practices (e.g., OWASP Top 10).

  • Work & Complexity: Performs complex tasks under limited guidance, integrates and troubleshoots distributed or cloud services, and optimizes performance and scalability.

  • Quality & Independence: Sets a high bar for code quality, multitasks effectively, owns and corrects errors quickly, and drives continuous improvement.

  • Teamwork & Communication: Leads code reviews, mentors teammates, and translates technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.

  • Consulting & Engagement: Works directly with clients without oversight, writes technical RFP content when needed, nurtures client relationships, and manages routine client concerns.

As your initial project assignment, you will support the unique needs of our client as a Software Engineer- Outsystems Developer. Introduction

Our dynamic team is looking for a Software Engineer that is willing to learn or already has experience with the OutSystems development platform.  Candidate should exhibit creativity, innovation, strong technical skills and leadership. The ideal person should be comfortable working independently or as part of a team in a lead position.  They should have solid database and application design skills and a firm grasp of clean code practices and secure design principles.  This person should be self-directed, a strong collaborator, focused on customer satisfaction and passionate about driving digital innovation and mentoring others.

The candidate must be able to demonstrate solid experience in problem-solving and delivering high quality software solutions. Also, the suitable candidate must have a strong desire for excellence, self-improvement and enabling others to have the same.

What You’ll Be Doing

o   Drives application architecture and solutioning of features based off requirements.

o   Analyzes impact of complex requirements and work with BAs and Developers to structure work to deliver features.

o   Identification of shared components and drives design and implementation.

o   Must consider usability, extensibility, efficiency, and performance during all phases of development.

  • Data driven design.

  • Ensures error free code.

  • Ensure security.

Ensure adherence to OutSystems and the client best practices.

o   Implement features and PBIs utilizing the OutSystems Platform.

o   Participate in code reviews and mentor others on best practices and implementation of patterns.

  • Ensures Unit tests and implemented when applicable.

  • Participates in design of unit tests.

o   Database Design and implementation.

Required for This Opportunity

o   The resource should be highly motivated, deeply technical, and able to work as part of the team or independently to drive solutions.

o   Background in traditional coding and concepts (C#, React, JavaScript, CSS).

o   OutSystems development experience (or willing to lean to develop using the platform)

o   Understands the technology landscape of integrations (Authentication/Authorization, APIs, etc.)

o   Solid relational database knowledge including SQL and ability to apply advanced techniques.

o   Java script/C# extensions

Ability to write/review extensions.

Ability to perform in depth review of forge components (security and functional)

o   Security Focused

o   Versed in Clean coding practices.

o   Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).

o   Experience working in Agile.

  Preferred

Note – We are willing to train the right candidate who comes from a strong traditional coding

o   Outsystems Technical Lead Certified - (Required for candidates that come from an Outsystems background)

  • Associate Tech Lead certified

  • Associate Reactive Developer

o   Web Developer Specialist (OutSystems 11) - Preferred

At AIS, we are committed to offering competitive and fair compensation that reflects the skills, experience, and contributions of each team member. The targeted base salary range for this role is $100,000-$150,000 per year. Please note that this range is provided as a guideline and the final offer will be based on several factors, including but not limited to, skillset and competencies, level of experience, education, certifications, and location. We value transparency in our hiring process and are happy to discuss how your unique qualifications align with our compensation structure during the interview process.
