What will you be doing in this role?
- Design and develop software systems in alignment with functional and technical requirements.
- Lead and coordinate development teams, ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices.
- Translate business and technical requirements into detailed design specifications.
- Optimize software solutions for performance, security, and quality.
- Produce and maintain technical documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide effort and time estimates for development tasks and deliverables.
- Define and enforce software development standards and guidelines.
- Propose technical solutions addressing business needs and resolving technical challenges.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret software performance metrics.
- Manage configuration, version control, and release processes.
- Contribute to requirements analysis, testing, quality assurance, change management, and deployment activities.
- Design and execute testing procedures, and develop custom testing tools when needed.
- Prototype new solutions and validate innovative approaches.
- Provide second and third-level support, resolving complex technical issues.
Requirements
What do you need to succeed in this position?
- Minimum education level: Bachelor’s degree (EQF Level 6) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- At least 4 years of relevant professional experience in IT.
- Minimum 2 years of project experience in a similar role or within comparable environments.
- At least one intermediate-level certification in software development or an equivalent internationally recognized certification (subject to acceptance by the Contracting Authority).
- Proven experience in enterprise-level software design and development, covering the full lifecycle — from requirements analysis and architecture design to deployment and support.
- Strong proficiency in .NET framework development (minimum 3 years).
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Business Intelligence technologies or similar, including SQL, ETL, data modelling, OLAP, reporting, and data mining tools.
- Excellent knowledge of UML for system and application design.
- Skilled in designing and developing data, business logic, and UI layers of complex systems.
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum environments.
- Solid understanding of software performance, security, and quality optimization principles.
- A fluency in the English language will be required
