We are an in-office company, and our expectation is that employees primarily work from their Applied Intuition office 5 days a week. However, we also recognize the importance of flexibility and trust our employees to manage their schedules responsibly. This may include occasional remote work, starting the day with morning meetings from home before heading to the office, or leaving earlier when needed to accommodate family commitments.

About the role

  • Analyze user needs and software requirements, develop solutions, and determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.
  • Design, develop, and modify software specifications and determine performance standards.
  • Develop scalable applications and participate in all aspects of software development including design, implementation, and testing.
  • Develop or direct software system testing or validation procedures, programming, or documentation and architect solutions to any bottlenecks that are encountered.
  • Prepare reports or correspondence concerning project specifications, activities, or status.
  • Build out infrastructure initiatives, optimize our cloud computer and storage costs, and help design new cloud projects.
  • Confer with domain experts across a variety of fields to design software and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces.
  • Work on world-class solutions to the autonomy industry's leading infrastructure problems.
  • Design, develop, and maintain software solutions for autonomy and mobility products, particularly advanced behavior and motion planning algorithms for off-road vehicles.
  • Work across the technology stack, handling full-stack development, infrastructure, simulation, testing, and more.
  • Create behavior and motion planning with collision avoidance systems for safe, efficient and robust algorithm, scalable, and efficient software that meets both customer and internal needs.

We're looking for someone who has:

  • Must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Robotics, or related
  • At least 2 years of experience as a Software Engineer for an autonomous technology company
  • At least 2 years of experience using C++, search algorithms, path planning, motion planning algorithm, obstacle avoidance, behavior trees, finite state machines, Markov decision processes, Robot Operate system (ROS), MPC, LQR, PID, and Linux.

The salary range for this position is $149,365 - $245,000 per year USD annually.
