Vivian Health is a remote-first company at the forefront of transforming the healthcare staffing landscape. We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our Mobile team and help drive our mission to empower healthcare professionals. As a Software Engineer on the Mobile team, you’ll take ownership of high-impact features and user flows that help clinicians register, create profiles, and find job opportunities.
What you’ll do:
- Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to build high-quality mobile experiences using React Native and TypeScript
- Lead end-to-end development of features and user flows in our iOS and Android applications
- Ship iteratively, starting from MVP to full-featured implementations
- Architect scalable, well-tested, and maintainable mobile solutions
- Contribute to shared UI components and design systems to ensure consistency across the app
Projects:
You’ll work on core features within our mobile app used by healthcare professionals, such as:
- New user registration
- Existing user profile enhancement
- User job searches and job application flows
You’ll also contribute to the mobile platform infrastructure, including:
- Continuous Integration and build automation
- End-to-end testing and release stability
- Maintaining up-to-date, secure, and performant dependencies
What we’re looking for:
- 4+ years of advanced mobile development experience using React Native and TypeScript
- Experience with native mobile languages such as Objective-C, Swift, Java, or Kotlin
- Backend experience with NodeJS/Express as a plus
- Strong understanding of mobile app architecture and performance optimization
- Experience integrating with Redux or other state management solutions
- Familiarity with mobile-specific testing tools and practices
- Experience with expo plugins
- Knowledge of REST APIs, service-oriented architectures, and PostgreSQL
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across remote teams
- Experience with generative AI and designing agentic user flows that leverage AI to assist or automate user tasks
What we provide: (Benefits & Perks)
The estimated range for this position is $140,000 - $170,000 yearly salary plus equity, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, education, and skills. This range is based on a full-time schedule.
