We are working on high throughput, real-time distributed systems that use machine learning techniques to solve hundreds of millions of requests per day.The team promotes a collaborative culture, encouraging idea sharing and teamwork to solve complex challenges.

Get to Know the Role

We are looking for accomplished and passionate Engineers to join our team. You will have opportunities to work on ios driver apps that are used by millions of driver partners everyday. It is very important that our team members take the initiatives to identify problems and have the right mindset and skills to solve them.You will report into Senior Software Engineering Manager, Fulfilment and this is an onsite role based in Jakarta.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

• Develop mobile components using Swift to enhance the availability, scalability, and efficiency of Grab's Driver App.
• Collaborate with backend teams to create modular reusable components and scalable APIs, while contributing to performance analysis and optimisation.
• Work with product and experience teams to finalise feature specifications, build prototypes, and design experiments.
• Participate in code and design reviews to uphold high development standards and explore new architectures for improved performance.

What Essential Skills You Will Need

• 3+ years of experience in mobile application development.
• Computer Science fundamentals in algorithms and data structures
• Hands-on familiarity with maintaining large-scale mobile application;
• Hands-on familiarity with Real-time communication between mobile apps and backend
• Experience with application performance and able to perform profiling to find any performance bottlenecks
• Hands-on familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for system development and deployment.
