Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Mid-Level Software Engineer to join our team!

What You'll Be Doing:

• Designs Windows and/or Linux software apps or systems based on government driven requirements.

• Contributes to system-level design in order to optimize overall system performance and reliability

• Translates detailed designs into computer software

• Test, debug and refine computer software to produce the required product

• Prepare both program-level and user-level documentation (with customer direction and approval)

• Enhance software to reduce operating times or improve efficiency

• Support reverse engineering, vulnerability research and software tool development related to the overall mission

• Develop software solutions compatible with the customer's CONOP

• Perform in depth analysis of wired and wireless network traffic using wireshark or other compatible protocol analyzer

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Active Top Secret clearance with willingness to be submitted for a polygraph upgrade

• BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Information Systems, or additional experience in lieu of degree

• 5 or more years of technical experience as a developer on host applications and/or embedded processing system

• Experience in deriving design specifications for functional activities

• Experience in Windows and/or Linux applications

• Ability to develop, troubleshoot, and test complex software to satisfy design objectives

• Experience in networking protocols such as TCP/IP and network-based communications protocol

• 4 years of experience using wireshark on a routine basis

• Experience in the use of programming languages such as bash, python, C, C++, C# and .NET framework

• Demonstrated ability to accurately predict cost and effort at a technical level for a diverse set of development projects

• Experience at providing technical direction to programmers to ensure program deadlines are met

• 2 years of experience with work areas
