We're looking for a sharp, product-first fullstack engineer to build the platform that 300+ energy operators rely on every day: monitoring 8,000+ solar and wind plants with more than 10 GWp under management. This is real-time, mission critical infrastructure. Live plant telemetry around the clock, alerting that has to fire within minutes, and APIs that control-room teams depend on.

You've shipped real features in production and you own them end to end, from API design to the last pixel in the browser. You'd rather fix the root cause than patch the symptom, and you say so in code review. You treat AI tools as leverage in your daily workflow, and you care about results, not hours.

You'll own one clearly scoped area of the platform and ship features across the stack. Depending on where you start, that's external APIs and Virtual Power Plant connectivity, monitoring and alarms for battery storage (BESS), or the horizontal layer every customer touches: authentication, roles and permissions, whitelabelling. Your first PR ships in week one.

• Build: You design and implement new features across frontend and backend — Node.js, React, microservices on Kubernetes

• APIs: You develop and maintain the external APIs that connect inverters, data loggers, and third-party systems to one platform, including Virtual Power Plant connectivity

• Real-Time Data: You work on ingestion, processing, and alerting for live telemetry from thousands of plants

• Quality: You troubleshoot and resolve bugs before customers notice them, supported by Grafana and Prometheus

• Collaborate: You work in a small cross-functional team where engineering, product, and the person who talks to the customer sit together. Decisions happen where you sit, not three levels up

• Ramp-up: In your first 6 months, you master our stack, ship platform features, and own your own platform areas

• Ownership: Your features, your decisions, your responsibility. From day one, not after a probation year

• Mission Critical Impact: Your code runs real renewable energy infrastructure. When your deploy improves alerting, an operator somewhere catches a failure hours earlier. No feature flags, no three approval rounds

• Direct Access: Short paths, small team, no alignment theater. Architecture discussions happen in the team, with you at the table

• Growth: The platform is scaling fast, and engineers who grow with it move into architecture decisions, not into management by default

• AI with Purpose: AI tooling in the daily engineering workflow as standard: licenses for everyone, used where it creates real leverage, not hype

• Environment: Office first in Berlin with limited home office flexibility, because we build faster in person

• Fullstack: ~5 years of professional experience shipping production software with Node.js and React, ideally a SaaS platform real users depend on

• Track record: You've shipped at a high-growth startup or top-tier tech company and know what production quality at pace looks like

• Backend: You have designed, built, and maintained APIs that others depend on

• Infrastructure: You're comfortable working in a Kubernetes/microservices environment

• Debugging: You track down issues systematically instead of guessing

• English: Fluent (our working language). German is not required

• Nice to have: Grafana/Prometheus, time-series data, or a background in the energy sector

• Entrepreneurial: You act like an owner: you spot problems nobody assigned you and fix them without waiting for permission

• Team player: You make the people around you better through honest code reviews and shared context. No lone-wolf heroics
