We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer with deep expertise in Java to join our team and contribute to building high-quality, scalable applications.
Hybrid role: Madrid, Spain. This position requires visiting the client's office 2-3 times per week.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and test new features and defect fixes.
- Build and maintain high-availability, API-driven applications.
- Ensure application quality, performance, responsiveness, and security.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (QA, DevOps, Product).
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing systems.
Requirements:
Must have
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent technical experience.
- English proficiency at Upper-Intermediate level or higher.
- Proven experience with Java 17 or higher.
- Strong knowledge of Spring Boot, Maven, and Tomcat.
- Hands-on experience with NoSQL databases.
- Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and API-driven architecture.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
Nice to have
- Experience with cloud platforms.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices (CI/CD).
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools.
- Experience working with Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
