We are seeking a motivated and talented Software Engineer Intern to join our remote engineering team for the Fall 2026 term. As an intern, you will work on real-world projects that directly impact on our products. You will work alongside experienced engineers, gain exposure to cloud technologies, and make a meaningful impact in a real production setting.  

 

To be qualified for the role: 

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.  
  • Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, OOP).  
  • Experience with one or more programming languages, such as Java, C#,  JavaScript, .NET.  
  • Familiarity with Git or other version control systems.  
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.  
  • Demonstrated interest in building scalable systems and real-world software applications.  
  • Demonstrated initiative in problem-solving, self-learning, and seeking clarification when needed.  
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure)  

 

What will set you apart: 

  • Prior internship or project experience in software development.  
  • Experience with .net/C#  
  • Understanding of databases and SQL/NoSQL.  

 

What you will be doing: 

  • Contributing to software development projects by working on assigned tickets and features.  
  • Assisting in the design, development, testing, and deployment of software applications within Availity’s platform.  
  • Writing clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.  
  • Participating in team meetings, code reviews, and releases.  
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Product and QA, to deliver high-quality features.  
  • Conducting unit and integration testing to ensure software reliability and performance.  

Video Camera Usage:

Availity fosters a collaborative and open culture where communication and engagement are central to our success.  As a remote first company, we are also camera-first and provide all associates with camera/video capability to simulate the office environment. If you are not able to use your camera for all virtual meetings, you should not apply for this role.
