The Role
We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer who is Infrastructure focused to join our dynamic team. As a lead member of our infrastructure team, you will play a crucial role in building and maintaining the robust, scalable systems that power Proxy, our generalist agent, ensuring high availability and optimal performance across our cloud infrastructure.
Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain our cloud infrastructure on GCP using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
Build and manage our Kubernetes clusters, focusing on scalability, reliability, and security
Develop and maintain automation tools and CI/CD pipelines in Python
Design and optimise our PostgreSQL database architecture for performance and reliability
Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions across our infrastructure
Collaborate with product engineering teams to provide robust infrastructure solutions
Lead and implement security best practices and compliance measures
Requirements
3+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering
Strong proficiency in Python for automation and tooling
Extensive experience with Kubernetes administration and deployment
Proven track record with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code practices
Solid understanding of GCP services and cloud architecture
Experience with PostgreSQL database administration and optimisation
Experience with monitoring and observability tools
Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on system reliability
Bonus Qualifications
Experience scaling ML/AI infrastructure
Knowledge of service mesh technologies (e.g., Istio)
Experience with high-performance computing environments
Contributions to infrastructure-related open-source projects
Experience with GitOps practices and tools
Background in site reliability engineering (SRE)
