Position: Software Engineer III
Job Location: 221 River Street, Hoboken, NJ 07030
Duties: Build an innovative shopping experience for online and in-store customers. Design and build services, platforms, and tools to scale the creation of conversational shopping experiences across Walmart. Modify existing software and services to correct errors, adapt to new demands, or improve its performance. Develop and direct distributed software system testing and validation procedures, programming, and documentation. Ensure service uptime and stability by developing service-level and business-level metrics and deploying metric monitoring processes and tools to address production issues.
Minimum education and experience required: Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Computer and Information Systems, Engineering (any), or a related field. Position does not require specific years of experience but requires listed skills.
Skills required: Experience implementing REST endpoints by Spring Boot framework using Java. Experience with code coverage using Mockito and Junit. Experience implementing regression tests for End-to-End (E2E) testing purposes using Cucumber and Selenium framework. Experience developing User Interface (UI) pages based on design requirements using React framework. Experience analyzing and identifying issues by querying data in SQL server DB. Experience aggregating and visualizing data from logs in Splunk to visualize API performance. Experience building test scripts using Node.js to help simulate real customer operation cases. Experience managing dependencies using Maven and sbt. Experience tracking job progress using Kanban and JIRA. Experience configuring and adjusting the performance of Kafka message queues for daily data processing. Employer will accept any amount of professional experience with the required skills.
