As a Software Engineer III, you’ll spend your days translating requirements into solutions, writing code, collaborating with cross-functional teams and providing us with the insights necessary to think beyond the status quo. You’ll oversee small project teams consisting of other engineers who will look to you as a trusted advisor, a subject matter expert who provides guidance and the right tools to get the job done.
About Team:
This is the Platform team under Data and Customer Analytics, which handles user actions and intermediate transaction management. The team handles high volume, billions of transactions per day.
What you'll do:

Analyze existing solutions to address Business/Stakeholder/Technical requirements; Prepare requirement traceability matrix and maintain traceability between business requirements, functional requirements, design and test cases; Contribute to the creation of user stories for component/module/simple requirements.

Create/configure minimalistic code for entire component/application and ensure the components are meeting business/technical requirements, non-functional requirements, low-maintainability, high-availability and high-scalability needs.

Map customer requirements in to test objectives; Identify and create test cases for the component/module; Execute test cases to test the code and detect errors and defects for the entire component; Execute different types of testing using appropriate testing tools based on the testing needs.

Program monitoring, including program metrics, program reporting, logging tools and processes, and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) to ensure adherence to the project against approved milestones and timelines.

Track and analyze defects for the component/ module and carry out regression testing to fix defects in all instances of code changes; Analyze defects from past projects/solutions to avoid recurrence of similar defects; Troubleshoot performance and availability bottlenecks for the application.

Conduct complex maintenance procedures for applications; Monitor and evaluate the performance of the application by tracking and analyzing appropriate metrics; Perform maintenance and re-engineering activities; Analyze application logs, maintenance activity data, performance data and provide analysis; Evaluate change requests to identify those which are valid and feasible.

Development, execution, and improvement of action plans by providing expert advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices; supporting and aligning efforts to meet customer and business needs; and building commitment for perspectives and rationales.

Implement business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; identifying business needs; determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices; monitoring progress and results; recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes, and new responsibilities.
What you'll bring:

Expert level knowledge of Java or No-SQL and Springboot

Experience with platforms (E.g. MS Azure, and GCP)

Good understanding of development standards and tools (E.g., Jira, CI-CD)

Familiarity with various test tools (E.g. Scala and Python, GCP, and MS Azure)

Knowledge of Risk analysis methodologies; Cost Analysis; Business objectives; Classification of requirements; Domain knowledge; User stories concepts; Functional / Non-Functional Requirements; Scoping and Estimation

Platforms Quality, Safety and Security (PCI etc.) standards; Emerging tools and technologies; Telemetry; CI/CD; Code Management Tools; SDLC; Secure SDL frameworks and tools

The annual salary range for this position is $117,000.00-$234,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
