Location: Amarillo, TX, or Paducah, KY, CSI office

JOB SUMMARY

Software Engineer IIIs design, code, test, and debugs programs; maintain and document program changes. They competently perform work in complex sections of at least one major application. Their responsibilities and assigned work activities require the use of imagination, originality, and ingenuity to maintain high programming standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Owns the development and rollout of entire product or large project.
  • Enforces department coding standards and best practices.
  • Demonstrates effective and efficient project management.
  • Writes technical specifications and identifies project/programming risks.
  • Champions and provides coaching to colleagues on processes, technologies, etc. (Agile, CI/CD).
  • Demonstrates expertise and elevated knowledge of Software Engineering skills and emerging technologies.
  • Demonstrates knowledge and applicability of various programming languages.
  • Provides thought leadership and proactive investigation and problem-solving.
  • Provides coaching and mentorship to less experienced Software Engineers.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

PRIMARY RESULTS ACCOUNTABLE FOR ACHIEVING

  • Deliver changes to support the product systems and any applications that our system supports, coordinate efforts with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Successful, timely execution of project initiatives and/or features.
  • Accountable for the creation or enhancement of CSI applications and meeting internal and external customer requirements of those applications.
  • Minimal re-design or re-factoring of solutions.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education & Certifications:

Accredited university, college or trade school education and training in applicable technology, advanced degrees or certifications preferred.

Experience:

Highly skilled position in described technology. Over five (5) years of successful, extensive work experience in relevant technical fields.

Required Skills:

  • Knowledge of identity protocols and standards (e.g., SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect) and their implementation in IAM systems.
  • Demonstrated technical competencies, such as but not limited to:
    1. Specific technology skills vary by assigned role (e.g., .NET, C#, SQL, Angular)
    2. Exposure to cloud platform (e.g., Azure preferred, AWS, GCP, etc.)
    3. Demonstrated understanding of APIs, function modules, etc.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with ability to reach a target audience
  • Strong business acumen
  • Advanced reasoning, analytical, and troubleshooting skills
  • Administrative skills
  • Project management
  • Coaching and mentorship skills
  • Networking skills

RELATIONSHIP BUILDING

This position requires contact primarily within the department and contact within the company on routine matters. Contact outside the company is minimal.

DECISION MAKING

The position requires frequent decision making and the ability to plan and perform unusual or difficult work with general operation methods/procedures.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED

General Direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approach to assignments. Completed work is reviewed from a long-term perspective for desired results.
