RFA Engineering (www.rfamec.com) is an engineering service provider dedicated to delivering our clients with timely engineering support and expertise.  We are seeking an Mid-Senior Level candidate to become an integral part of our engineering team.  The selected candidate will work with an experienced engineering staff using state-of-the-art engineering tools & processes. This position will operate onsite at our customer's world-class engineering and manufacturing facility.

Software Engineer III

The Software Engineer III will work with an experienced software engineering team supporting the design, development, integration, testing, and deployment of enterprise software applications and services. Opportunities may include cloud-based applications, connected equipment platforms, data management systems, software integrations, distributed architectures, and enterprise technology solutions.
 

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise software applications and services.
  • Develop software features using Java, Spring, Spring Boot, and related technologies.
  • Support development and maintenance of RESTful APIs and service-based architectures.
  • Design, build, and support scalable microservices and distributed software systems.
  • Participate in software architecture, design reviews, and technical planning activities.
  • Develop and maintain automated tests to support software quality and reliability.
  • Support software integration, deployment, and release activities.
  • Perform code reviews and contribute to software development best practices.
  • Collaborate with software developers, quality engineers, and product teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
  • Troubleshoot software issues and support root cause investigations.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation supporting software development activities.
  • Participate in Agile development activities including sprint planning, backlog refinement, standups, and retrospectives.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on performance, quality, security, and maintainability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or related technical discipline.
  • Experience with software development, application development, systems integration, or related technical projects.
  • Experience developing software applications using Java.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a collaborative software development team.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet project deadlines.
  • Desire to learn new technologies and continuously develop technical skills.

Pay Range: $95,000 - $135,000 – Commensurate with experience
