About the Team:
The Walmart Item Orchestrator team comprises skilled engineers dedicated to building a high-performance platform that handles millions of queries per second across billions of items. Leveraging technologies like Java, Rust, Kafka, Cassandra, and Kubernetes, the team develops scalable, low-latency systems. Focused on collaboration and innovation, members deliver resilient, efficient features aligned with Walmart’s platform and business objectives. The team applies strong technical expertise and best practices, continuously enhancing solutions through iterative development and knowledge sharing to ensure reliable, high-quality software that meets rigorous performance standards.
What You'll Do:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define high-level designs and translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Develop, test, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-quality code following coding standards and best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues through root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
- Lead small engineering groups by providing guidance, documentation, and timelines to ensure project success.
- Participate in continuous integration and delivery processes, automating tasks to improve efficiency.
- Monitor application performance and implement telemetry features to support maintenance and enhancements.
