As a Software Engineer II here at Honeywell, you will serve as a UI Developer responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining user interfaces that deliver exceptional user experiences. You will work extensively with Next.js, JavaScript, and CSS to build intuitive and responsive web applications. You will report directly to our Engineering Manager, and you’ll work out of our Henrico, Virginia location on a Hybrid work schedule.
In this role, you will impact the usability and performance of our software products by leveraging your strong expertise in front-end technologies and your solid understanding of backend frameworks and databases to deliver scalable and efficient solutions.
 

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
•    Develop and maintain user interfaces using Next.js, JavaScript, and CSS to create responsive and user-friendly web applications.
•    Collaborate with backend developers to integrate Java, Spring, Hibernate, and SQL components effectively.
•    Design and optimize SQL queries and database schemas to support application functionality.
•    Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver scalable software solutions.
 

Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE
•    A minimum of 5+ years of experience in UI development with Next.js, JavaScript, and CSS.
     Good knowledge of Java, Spring, Hibernate, and SQL for backend integration.
•    Experience in building scalable and responsive web applications.
•    Familiarity with modern development tools and version control systems.

WE VALUE
•    Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field. 
•    Experience with cloud platforms and microservices architecture.
•    Knowledge of containerization and CI/CD pipelines.
•    Ability to work collaboratively in agile teams and adapt to changing priorities.
•    Familiarity with cloud platforms, containerization, or DevOps practices is desirable.

The annual base salary range for this position is $99,200 - $124,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
