About the team

The agile team is just over a dozen people dealing with all aspects of a highly technical development and deployment platform, including design, coding, testing and customer support. We are geographically dispersed on the U.S. East coast and India, working from home or hybrid to an office. The product includes a compiler, a transactional key-value store non-SQL database, dynamic linkers, communications protocols, device management, string processing, etc.

What you will be doing

· Gathering and refining customer requirements.

· Responding to customer questions, potentially off hours.

· Designing tests to elaborate requirements and participate in designs.

· Developing automated tests.

· Coding with attention to security, performance and maintainability.

· Reviewing documentationproduct and test code.

What you bring

· Skill at learning and managing time effectively.

· Ability to work with sophisticated optimized algorithms and data structures.

· An understanding of how to match customer needs to the product infrastructure.

· Willingness to take responsibility and to work as part of a team.

Bonus if you have

· Experience with C or a closely related language.

· Experience working in a POSIX environment.

· Experience with multiprocessing and/or transactional systems.

· Understanding of systems programming concepts, e.g., locking, memory management.

FIS is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive compensation. The pay range for this full-time position is $93,640.00 - $157,300.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay. Please consult with your recruiter about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
