Motorola Solutions creates innovative, mission-critical communication solutions and services that help public safety and commercial customers build safer cities and thriving communities worldwide. The Secure Products Group team provides security solutions for MSI devices and other compatible customer devices. We look for the most advanced problem solvers—like you—to help us develop technologies that address our customers' challenges. Job Description

Analyzes, develops, designs, and maintains software for the organization’s products and systems. Contributes to the full product lifecycle by performing software development, executing hardware and software integration tests, and developing and validating all feature functionality and user documentation. Candidates are expected to work in a team environment, using the latest industry-standard agile practices to plan, implement, and deliver products and services.

Required Skills (one or more of):

  • C/C++

  • Linux (multiple variants)

  • Windows development

  • Python, Perl / Powershell

  • Java

  • Make, Bash

  • Network Protocols (TCP/IP, TLS, UDP)

Desired Skills:

  • Agile software development and/or Git/JIRA experience is a plus

  • Mobile application and/or platform development, including Android and iOS

  • Driver development

  • Embedded programming 

  • SIP,  RTP,  RTCP Protocols

  • Experience in debugging and strong analytical skills

  • Security concepts such as authentication, access control, authorization, and cryptography

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills

  • Knowledge of Gen AI and LLM is a plus

 Target Base Salary Range: $73,800  - $107,600 USD

 

Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.


Basic Requirements
  • Bachelor's (BS) or Master's (MS) degree in Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related technical discipline.

  • 1 to 2 years of relevant embedded system software development experience.

  • US Citizenship required. Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position.
