The Network Software Engineering team designs and develops software powering next-generation switching platforms built on modern ASICs. Our team works at the intersection of networking protocols, system software, and hardware to build scalable and high-performance networking systems. We develop key components of a custom networking software stack that enables advanced switching platforms and modern network infrastructure.
Partner with the best
You will participate in the full software development lifecycle of networking software running on next-generation switching platforms. In this role you will collaborate with global engineering teams, work close to the hardware layer, and contribute to high-performance networking software.
As a Software Engineer II, you will be responsible for:
- Designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software components for networking platforms
- Implementing networking features and system functionality for modern switching platforms
- Collaborating with hardware, platform, and network engineering teams
- Contributing to system debugging, performance optimization, and platform bring-up
- Learning about our networking platforms, architecture, and software stack as required for your role
Do what you love
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have a good knowledge of computer networking fundamentals (L2/L3)
- Have programming experience in C++
- Have familiarity with Linux systems and development environments
- Understand embedded systems, network hardware architectures and optical networking fundamentals - would be an asset
- Communicate effectively in English, both spoken and written
- Have experience with scripting languages such as Python or Bash - would be an asset
