WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
We are looking for a Software Engineer II specializing in iOS mobile engineering to help design, build and deliver
reliable point-of-sale experiences for Nike Stores. You will join the Store Experience organization, which develops
front-of-house point-of-sale capabilities and back-of-house reporting and store-management solutions for a global
retail environment.
The role combines hands-on application development, quality engineering, automation, integration testing, and
technical debugging. You will own capabilities from requirements through production, working with product,
architecture, infrastructure, security and geographically distributed engineering teams to identify risks early and
deliver scalable, secure and supportable solutions.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
• Design, develop, test and deliver iOS point-of-sale capabilities across cart, checkout, payments, receipts and
store integrations.
• Build maintainable Swift and Swift UI solutions using modern mobile architecture and Apple Human Interface
Guidelines.
• Integrate and validate payment solutions, printers, scanners, cash drawers and other store technologies,
including market-specific payment and fiscal requirements.
• Develop unit, UI, integration and regression tests; automate appropriate scenarios while ensuring hardware-
dependent journeys receive hands-on validation.
• Use Xcode, application logs, and code-level investigation to troubleshoot complex failures across software,
payments, hardware, and dependent services.
• Partner with product owners to clarify requirements, define MVP scope, identify technical and quality risks, and
support realistic delivery plans.
• Collaborate with engineering, architecture, infrastructure, privacy and security teams to ensure applications are
properly designed, operated and maintained.
• Improve performance, scalability, extensibility, reliability, usability, availability and testability throughout the
development of lifecycle.
• Participate in sprint planning and Scrum ceremonies, contribute to estimation and execution, and drive defects
through root-cause analysis and resolution.
• Monitor and support production health using engineering observability and analytics tools and contribute to
continuous improvement through DevOps and Agile practices.
• Use AI-assisted engineering tools such as Cursor and GitHub Copilot to improve productivity and code quality,
applying appropriate review, privacy and security practices.
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
Deliver reliable, maintainable iOS capabilities that meet functionality, quality, security and operational
expectations.
• Ensure critical checkout and store-integration journeys are comprehensively validated before release.
• Prevent critical production issues through early risk identification, robust engineering practices, and meaningful
automated coverage.
• Independently investigate and resolve complex failures across application code, payments, hardware and
dependent services.
• Improve application performance, stability, observability, testability, and release readiness over time.
• Communicate engineering status, quality risks and release readiness clearly to technical and business partners.
