We are looking for a Software Engineer who combines strong engineering expertise with deep knowledge of Supply Chain Finance processes and SAP Controlling (CO). This role will be responsible for designing, building, enhancing, and supporting technology solutions that enable Product Costing, Inventory Accounting, Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), Material Ledger, Actual Costing, Transfer Pricing, and related Supply Chain Finance capabilities.
The ideal candidate brings a blend of functional and technical expertise, understands end-to-end supply chain finance processes, and can translate business requirements into scalable, reliable technology solutions. This individual should be comfortable working across application configuration, software development, integrations, testing, deployment, production support, and continuous improvement initiatives.
We are seeking a collaborative problem solver with strong analytical skills, a passion for operational excellence, and the ability to partner effectively with Finance, Supply Chain, Product, and Engineering stakeholders.
Required qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Sr Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of experience in delivering enterprise software solutions across design, build, test, deployment, and production support.
• Hands-on experience with Supply Chain Finance—application configuration and integration touchpoints.
• Strong understanding of data mapping, transformation, validation, reconciliation, error handling, and monitoring across integrated systems.
• Experience diagnosing production issues through logs, traces, monitoring, and structured root-cause analysis.
• Ability to assess complex technical information, make sound trade-off decisions, and communicate clearly with both technical and business audiences.
• Strong collaboration skills and experience working in an Agile delivery environment.
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
As a Sr Software Engineer on the Direct Payables Capability Team, you will design, configure, build, test, deploy, and support technology solutions centered on Supply Chain Finance,
Configure and enhance SAP S/4HANA and ECC capabilities related to Controlling and Product Costing.
Support month-end and year-end financial close processes, including Material Ledger close and Actual Costing runs.
Design solutions supporting inventory valuation, Cost of Goods Sold(COGS) and cost rollups.
Ensure financial controls, audit requirements, and compliance standards are maintained.
Translate business requirements into scalable technical designs and implementation plans.
Support critical financial close periods and inventory valuation processes.
Troubleshoot production incidents and perform root cause analysis.
Identify opportunities to streamline business processes and reduce operational risk.
Maintain clear technical documentation, including solution designs, interface mappings, support procedures, and operational runbooks.
Skills Required
