We need your talent, motivation, and vision as a Software Engineer to join our New Hampshire team. We are actively seeking experienced Software Engineers with a minimum of two years of experience and a range of skills. The Software Engineer will apply her/his skills to developing high-quality, real-time embedded software for fielded electronics platforms. BAE Systems in NH is currently undergoing an exciting period of growth.

Job Responsibilities

  • Duties include analyzing, designing, coding and code modification (typically in Python and C++) of complex software designs for simple systems or subsystems or subsystems of larger systems.
  • You will be assisting in the evaluation of complex software designs to identify design flaws.
  • You will be preparing design documentation, in accordance with established processes.
  • You will utilize either a Linux or Windows based software development environment. Embedded targets could range from ARM through high performance x86-64 CPUs and Graphics Processing Units (GPUs). You will be integrating and testing in the selected target test environments.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Required Skills and Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field, and minimum of 2 years work experience or equivalent experience
  • Foundation in Object-Oriented design and implementation
  • High-level Object-Oriented language proficiency (e.g. C++, QT)
  • Experience using scripting languages, such as Python
  • Problem-solving and collaborative skills that translate to working software
  • Proficient with source code control tools


Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Preferred Skills and Education

  • Secret Clearance (active within the last two years)
  • Master's Degree in Computer Science, AI or Machine Learning
  • Math and data analysis skills
  • Familiarity with neural network development in common formats (e.g. TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.)
  • Agile Development experience
  • Designing and/or implementing software algorithms
  • Experience developing Linux and Windows Operating Systems
  • Experience using software tools like Jira, BitBucket, Confluence
  • Experience with Containers including Docker, Podman or Kubernetes
  • Software automated test development and execution


Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $75570 - $128480
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
