Tower Research Capital, a high-frequency proprietary trading firm founded in 1998, seeks a Software Engineer to join our Post-Trade team.
The Post-Trade & Finance Technology division is responsible for providing comprehensive and accurate transactional through robust reconciliation processes focusing on efficiency through automation.
Responsibilities
- Developing the firm’s Post Trade Platform tools - including reference data management, trade capture, transaction master, trade cost management.
- Work closely with the global stakeholders to perform business functions efficiently. Translate business requirements into technical tasks.
- Drive design, development, implementation and maintenance of projects/products.
- Responsible for technological innovation in build-out of the new generation of middle office and back-office applications and processes.
- Continuously look for process improvements via automation and/or better monitoring tools.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s or master's degree or equivalent in computer science or a related field
- 0-1 years of experience in software development
- Strong problem solving abilities
- Strong Linux skills and ability to pick up new data tools and concepts quickly and knowledge of shell scripts
- Strong Knowledge of Python, Java/JEE with messaging middleware
- Solid understanding of RDBMS and familiarity with NoSQL databases and good understanding of data modeling concepts
- Good communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Experience in financial services is a plus
