As a Software Engineer I here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will develop and maintain software solutions, working on cutting-edge projects that transform businesses. Your expertise will shape the future of technology and industry solutions. You will report directly to our Engineering Manager and you’ll work out of our Brno, Czech Republic location on a Hybrid work schedule.
You will perform software verification and validation activities to ensure product quality, functionality, and compliance with requirements and applicable standards and ensure delivering correct and complete results.
This is a hybrid role with 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home.
ResponsibilitiesKey responsibilities
- Software requirements definition, design and implementation of SW, testing and integration of software with HW
- Communicate goals/expectations/issues with stakeholders/team.
- Provide effort estimates and propose solutions.
- Make sure all goals are completed in a satisfactory manner and issues are timely communicated.
- Support S&C organization in their initiatives.
- The job assignment may vary based on primary managers’ directives
Key skills and qualifications
- College Graduate – BS in in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field. Advanced degree preferred and continuous learning expected
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in testing and test systems.
- Experience in working on project and teamwork
- Excellent command of English language
- Proficiency in Python programming language
- Knowledge of configuration management system
- DO-178C knowledge, including an understanding of different certification levels
- Knowledge of the SW development best practices and SW development cycle
- Capability and willingness to travel for trainings business meetings and work on project
- Must meet any applicable Export License conditions in terms of nationality for the given project
