WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for an early-career Software Engineer who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within Nike’s HR Technology (ITC) organization. As a Software Engineer I, you will support the design, development, configuration, and maintenance of HR Talent Acquisition systems, including Workday Recruiting and related platforms. In this role, you will use your foundational technical skills while contributing to agile team deliverables. You will operate independently with guidance and direction, applying standard engineering practices to deliver high-quality solutions that support global hiring and talent experiences.
- Design, configure, and test software components and solutions within sprint scope
- Support enhancements, bug fixes, and small features for Talent Acquisition systems (e.g., Workday Recruiting)
- Participate in config reviews and incorporate feedback
- Assist with integrations, reporting, and workflows supporting candidate and
recruiter experiences
- Contribute to continuous improvements in hiring processes and tools
- Assist in production support and issue resolution
- Release documentation and process rigor
- Collaborate with Agile team members on planning and implementation (Including
Quarterly Planning, Stand ups, backlog grooming, sprint planning, etc)
- Communicate progress and document work clearly
- Build knowledge of HR Technology and Talent Acquisition processes
- Develop technical and problem-solving skills with guidance

WHAT YOU WILL BRING
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Foundational programming or system configuration knowledge
- Exposure to HR systems process and/or Talent Acquisition tools (e.g., Workday
Recruiting) preferred
- Internship, coursework, or project experience in software development or system
configuration
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Willingness to learn and grow in a collaborative environment
