Do you enjoy doing something that has never been done before? Radiance's Analytic Technologies Division is part of a group of teams currently working on a cutting-edge modeling and simulation framework. Our government customer has secured dedicated hardware for our effort, and Radiance serves as the prime contractor in delivering a cloud-native software system that provides capabilities that exceed many of the standards present in other frameworks. With the goal of delivering an industry-changing product with a long future and nationwide adoption, we've been tasked with building a modern, web-based user interface that interacts with dozens of cutting-edge, containerized microservices running in a Kubernetes cluster.
We are taking lessons learned from the initial development phases and building a whole new user experience catered to specific workflows for specific roles in our modeling and simulation system. This is an opportunity to get in on the ground floor as we build a next generation user interface for our modeling and simulation framework. We work with UX designers to help us realize our customers’ vision.
We mainly work in React, Redux, TypeScript, and .NET, but our microservices architecture is a diverse set of technology, so we are open to a wide range of skillsets. This position supports the ability to work fully remote or hybrid.
Candidate Profile
- Passionate – we need someone that is passionate about software development, particularly user interfaces and user experience
- Loves to learn – our architecture is a polyglot of technologies; a typical day might involve developing in multiple languages (TypeScript, C#, Java), configuring Kubernetes, or designing schema for a backend database
- Team player – we collaborate as a team and our team collaborates with other teams as well
- Bonus points if you have experience designing user interfaces (e.g. with Figma)
Required Experience
- 3 or more years of web frontend framework experience (React, Angular, Vue, or others)
- JavaScript and/or TypeScript experience
- 1 or more years of experience developing front ends for web applications leveraging APIs
- Understanding of object oriented and functional programming concepts
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- US citizenship
Desired Qualifications
- Experience developing web APIs (preferably .NET 6+ or Java)
- Experience working with Figma designs
- Experience with Kubernetes
- Experience with ICAM (identity, credential, and access management) systems and concepts such as OAuth2, JWT, Keycloak, OpenID, or similar
- Familiarity with DoD security practices
