About the Client:

Join one of the Fortune 500 leaders in the pharmaceutical industry that is looking innovate and expand our technological capabilities. The person would join a product team working on their self-service company-wide platform that enables all the teams and business units to deploy their AI solutions, making them accessible across the entire company.

We are looking for a Software Engineer to design and implement a cost monitoring solution across multiple platforms. The ideal candidate has strong experience in Python and SQL, as well as hands-on familiarity with programmatic cost extraction and automation across cloud tools like AWS, Databricks, Snowflake, and more.

The role is a CONTRACTING (6 months and renewable) role with US company.

Accepting canddiates from Europe, Middle East and India, who can overlap IST working hours.

Fully REMOTE role.

• Build automations to extract cost and usage data from various tools and platforms including AWS (Bedrock, Lambda, Sagemaker), Databricks, EKS, DataIKU, and Snowflake.
• Design and implement logic to aggregate and consolidate cost data across sources for unified reporting.
• Develop monitoring and alerting pipelines to track anomalies and ensure cost thresholds are enforced.
• Work with AWS Step Functions, Lambda, and API Gateway to orchestrate and expose cost monitoring workflows.
• Collaborate with data and platform teams to validate accuracy and consistency of extracted and computed cost data.

• 6+ years of experience in software enigneering
• Strong programming skills in Python and solid SQL experience for data querying and transformation.
• Proven ability to automate cost reporting or monitoring tasks using APIs or cloud-native tools.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills – able to validate and troubleshoot financial metrics.
• Hands-on experience with AWS Step Functions, Lambda, and API Gateway.
• Experience extracting cost data from at least one of the following: AWS, Databricks, EKS, DataIKU, Snowflake.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with FinOps practices and cost optimization strategies.
• Experience in building dashboards or reports for cost visualization.

• Knowledge of tagging strategies and chargeback models in multi-tenant cloud environments.
